Myös Nuppu tahtoi osallistua TAYSin keskosten synttärikorttihaasteeseen, josta aiemmin enmmän tietoa. Tässä hänen korttinsa pienelle tytölle.

Hyvää uutta vuotta/ Happy New Year

Tällaisen tervehdyksen serkkuni saa Hyvän uuden vuoden toivotukseksi. Taustapaperi on muistaakseni Canonin sivuilta printattu ja leimasin WOJ Herb with teacup. Väritetty Derwentin akvarellikynillä. Taustalla näkyvän kirjekuoren reunan leimasin Inkadinkadon lumihiutaleleimasimella. Tällä osallistun CCC haasteeseen #19

This kind of Happy New Year wish will my cousin receive. The paper was printed from Canons free printables and the stamp is WOJ Herb with teacup, stamp coloured with Derwent akvarell pencills. The edges of envelope in the background I stamped with Inkadinkados Snowflakes stamp. With this card I'll take part in CCC challenge #19

Tampereen yliopistollisen sairaalan vastasyntyneiden teho- ja tarkkailuosastolla hoidetaan vuosittain yli tuhat vauvaa. Osa näistä pienokaisista viettää osastolla useita kuukausia kasvaen ja vahvistuen ennen kotiin pääsyä. Osastolla on tapana muistaa vauvoja "syntymäpäivinä", joita osastolla vietetään kuukauden välein. Tämänkertaisena haasteena olisikin tehdä kortti vauvalle. Enkeliaiheita tulisi välttää, koska tällaisella osastolla enkeleillä on valitettavasti hyvin erilainen merkitys. Vaikka kuinka toivomme suojelusenkeleitä jokaisen keskoskaapin ja vauvankopan viereen, poistuu osa pikkuisista oikeiksi enkeleiksi.
Lisähaaste: Halutessasi voit lähettää kortin suoraan osastolle, jolloin joku pikkuisista saa sen syntymäpäivänään. Korttinsa osastolle lähettäneiden kesken arvotaan pieni yllätyspalkinto. Laitathan kortin mukana yhteystietosi erillisellä lapulla niin palkinto voidaan lähettää voittajalle. Yllätyspalkinto arvotaan 9.1.2009. Over a 1000 babies are treated every year at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and The Neonatal Ward of the Tampere University Hospital. Some of these little ones have to spend several months on the ward to gain weight and strength before they can go home with their parents. The staff has a tradition of remembering each baby monthly on their "birthday". Therefore, the new challenge is to make a birthday card to a baby.Option: You may send your card straight to the neonatal unit of Tampere University Hospital and one of the little patients will get it on his/her birthday. A surprise gift will be raffled among the participants of the optional challenge. Please note, that angel theme should be avoided as some of the little ones pass on to become real angels and therefore angels are a delicate subject on this kind of unit. Remember to include your contact info on a separate sheet in case you are the lucky winner! The drawing will take place on January 9th, 2009. Cards arriving after this will not be included in the draw, but are greatly appreciated at the ward.Cards may be sent to:

Leikin uusilla leluilla/Playing with my new toys

Viime viikolla sain ensimmäiset WOJ leimasimeni, tämä on niistä se ehdoton suosikkini. Tein sitten koko setin, jos vaikka tulee tarve kiireelliselle jouluvimiselle :) Osallistun tällä kortilla Jehkottaren viikon haasteeseen; kortti itselle, kortti aloitetaan kauniista taustapaperista. Minulle tuo paperi on tuo ruskea Scissor Sistersin tekstipaperi. Tykkään myös turkoosista ja jotenkin tämä kuva tuntui kuuluvan näihin väreihin. Lisäksi osallistun ensimmäistä kertaa Wiff of Joyn haasteeseen, tällä viikolla aiheena joulukortti, jossa EI saa käyttää vihreää ja punaista. Ja vielä kolmanneksi osallistun viikon Cute CardThursday haasteeseen, jossa on avoin teema.

Last week I got my first WOJ stamps, this one is my favourite. I made the whole set, if there would come an urgent need of Christmaspresent :) I'll partisipate with this card to Jehkotar CardChallenge; card for Yourself, starting with a bautifull paper. Here it is that brown ScissorSisters paper with text, I also like tuoquise and somahow this picture seems to fit these colours. I also partispate for the first time in Wiff of Joy Challenge; Christmascard, with NO red and green and for the CuteCardThursday challenge with open theme.

Ja tallainen siitä sitten tuli lokakuun loppuun mennessä. Ja nyt se on jo siirtynyt uuteen kotiin naapuriimme, rouvalle, joka täytti 70.

And this is what it became until the end of October. And now it has moved to a new home to a lady in our neighbour when she turned 70.Pakin kulmassa oleva hiekka on tuotu Kanarialta, jossa pakin saanut rouva viettää lomansa : )

The sand in the corner of the box was brought from Canary Islands in where the lady who got the box spends her holidays : )

Pieni enkelityttö/ A little angelgirl

...tai ainakin olen aina mielessäni nähnyt tämän tytön enkelinä : ) Kuva on aika iso ja siksi päätinkin tehdä tästä hiukan isomman kortin. Koko kortti siis on rakennettu kuvan pohjalta. Tämä leimasin kun on jäänyt aivan liian vähälle käytölle.

...or at least I've allways seen this girl as an angel : ) The stamp is quite big so I decided to do a bit bigger card. The whole card was build starting from the picture. I've used this stamp really too seldom.

Tein tämä kortin Camillan taitteluohjeen mukaan StampARTicin haasteeseen, mutta innostuksetani en huomannut puuttuuvaa osaa kortista ennen kuin olin sen skannannut... Arvaatko mikä se on?

I made this card for StampARTics first challenge using Camillas instruction of a folder technique. I was so exited so I did'nt notice a tiny little thing missing from my card, not until I had allready scanned the front... Guess what it is!

Enpä olekaan ennen tehnyt valkoista joulukorttia, mutta kerta se on ensimmäinenkin. Nyt oli yritettävä kun Anelma tällaisen haasteen heitti JCC haasteessa numero #34. Ja samalla tässä vastaan Taavan heittämään haasteeseen, ei tähän nyt kyllä mahtunut enempää noita isoja metallikukkia, yritin kyllä :)

I've never before done a white christmascard, bot there must be a first time for everything. Now I just had to try when Anelma threw this challenge in JCC challenge #34. At the same time this is for the challenge I got from Taava, I tried but there wasn't room enough for more of those bigger metallic flowers.

Els taas muisti meitä, Eveliinaa,Valtteria ja minua tällä ihanalla palkinnolla. Tunnen oloni tosi hemmotelluksi ja lapset tulivat tois iloisiksi, tosin he ihmettelivät miten me oikein saadaan tuo palkinto ulos tuolta koneelta meille itselle :D

Els remembered us, me and my kids Eveliina and Valtteri again with this wonderfull Award. I feel myself a little bit spoiled and kids were very happy too, even if they were wondering how we can get that Award out of the computer home to ourselves :D

Jouluista taas/ Christmas card again

Värittelin tämän Edwinin Distresseillä ja Derwentin akvarellikynillä. Lopuksi sipaisin kimalletta hatun reunukseen. Pohjana käytin Friday sketchersin luonnosta #26.

I coloured this Edwin with Distress and Derwent akvarell pencills. I put some glitter to the hat. I used the sketch #26 from Friday sketchers.

Toisella Srah Kayn leimalla sain aikaan tällaisen kortin, kun käytin Stamp with Sarah Kayn haasteen #17 pohjaa. Ja tämä kuva on vieläkin vaikeampi värittää, aikaa meni tosi paljon, enkä ole oikein tyytyväinen lopputulokseen.

With another Sarah Kay stamp I made this card using the sketch from Stamp with Sarah Kay challenge #17. This one was even harder to colour than the one I made before. It took quite long time to colour and I'm not really satisfied with it.

Meillä juhlittiin Halloweenia jo perinteeksi muodostuneilla lastenjuhlilla.


We celebrated Halloween with traditional childrens party.

And here's the cosy guest of the party dancing; witches, little pumpkin, batman , pirots and everybody else.

Ja hauskaa oli :)Merirosvokin löysi miekkansa ja silmälappunsa.

And we had a lots of fun :) And the pirot found his sword and eyepatch.

Monenlaista / Many kind of things

Viime tipassa sain aikaan kortin JCC viikon 29 haasteeseen. Ajattelin jo etten tekisi, vaan sitten päätin kuitenkin toteuttaa tämän jo pikään mielessä pyörineen ajatuksen.

At the last moment I made the card for JCC 29th challenge. I thought I wouldn't but then I decided to make real this idea that has been turning around inside my head for a long time.

Ja muutakin olen saanut aikaan. Penny Blackin leimasimella kokeilin tehdä korttia ja tässä se nyt on... vaan eipä ole yhtään sellainen kuin ajattelin. Ei vaan nappaa, mutta aina ei voi onnistua.

I did something else too. With PB stamp I tried to make a card and here it is... it's nothing like I thought. I don't like it, but then again one can't allways get lucky.

Tein myös keittiötaulun, johon olen kohtuullisen tyytyväinen, kuva vaan ei oikein tuo värejä esille, valokuvaustaidoissakin on toivomisen varaa :)

I also made a kitchen picture and I'm quite satisfied with it, the photo isn't the best possible, I obviously need more practice with my camera.

Kasa hiiriä/ A bunch of mice

Tällä viikolla HM haaste pyysi tekemään jotakin luonnollista ja viime viikolla mitä tahansa, mutta ei korttia. Tässä nämä molemmat, kun en viime viikon aikana saanut laitettua kuvia karkkilaatikostani.

This weeks HM challenge is That natural feeling, and here it is. Last weeks challenge was anything but a card, and because I did'nt post my candybox during last week it's here now.

Miksi juuri minä / Why me

Kaikki muut tuntuvat saaneen uudet Sarah Kayn jouluiset leimasimet, jotka Heini ilmoitti postittaneensa perjantaina, vaan ei ole tulleet mulle :( Onkohan posti ne hävittänyt vai missä lienevät...

Everybody else seem have received their new Sarah Kay Chritmas stamps, that Heini announced to be send last Friday, everybody exept me :( I wonder if the post has lost them...

I just had to think about this for a while, so I didn't react to this immediately :)
What should I tell You??? There's nothing interesting to tell about me, or is there? Well, I'll try anyway, so here we go, and Els, thanks for this, this might even be fun ;)

1. I love to read, I feed my dark side with murder mysterious, sometimes I read other kind of books too, of course, but usually it's some kind of detective stories.

2. I would like to watch scary movies, but I can't, I'm just too scared after watching them. I litterally frose to my sitting place, just too scared to move... and those nightmares!!

3. I love crafting. The things I do change from time to time. Few years ago I was knitting all the time, now my interest has turned to cardmaking

4.The older I get, the more mistakes I make with my writing, for example, in my former blog I wrote a description about me that I'm married and a mummy to my 12 years old dogboy... :D . It took a while before DH found courage enough to tell me about it and of course I didn't notice anything special about the text

5. I'm impatient. Cardmaking suits me well, because it doesn't take too many evenings to get something ready.

6. It irritates me enormously when somebody leaves the door of the kitchencloset open, even if it's usually me myself who does it...

7.I let my inner child run free very often so I can be very absent-minded and make odd mistakes, like I did some weeks ago, I filled the tank in our dieselcar with gasoline...not fun at all

Jotain uutta sentään/ At least somethig new

Viikonlopun ajan suunnittelin kovasti tekeväni monta uutta korttia, mutta enpä vaan saanut aikaan, oli niin paljon muutakin tekemistä. Tässä nyt kuitenkin Jehkottaren haastekortti #28, pitäydyin yksinkertaisessa.



I planned to do many cards this weekend, but there was so much another things to do, so I ended with just this one, to Jehkotar Card Challenge #28,I kept it very simple.

Oliverialta tuli tosi kiva blogiarvontavoitto ja päätin sitten tehdä hänelle kiitoskortin ja koska PB viikko #18 haasteena oli thanks a bunch, ajattelin liittää nämä kaksi asiaa yhteen. Todennäköisesti Oliveria on kortin jo saanut, joten voin sen julkaistakin.

I got really nice blogcandy from Oliveria so I decided to make her a Thank You card and because PB challenge #18 was Thanks a bunch I thougt I'd combine these to things. By now Oliveria has probably received the card so it's ok to publish it.

HouseMouse hääkortti/HM Weddingcard

HM:n haasteena oli tällä kertaa luonnos, leimasin tekstin Hero Artsin punaisella musteella ja embossasin värittömällä jauheella. Ja samalla kortilla osallistun myös CupCakeChallenge #9 "Turn up the heat"



HM challenge this week was a sketch, fun to work with! I stamped the text with red Hero Arts stamppad and then embossed it with transpapent powder. And with this card I'll also take part on CupCakeChallenge #9 "Turn up the heat"

Ensin ajattelin, että on tosi vaikea pohja, enkä meinannut millään päästä alkuun, mutta sitten aloin värittää Oliverialta saamaani ihanaa Hänglar leimakuvaa ja yhtäkkiä kaikki olikin aivan selkeää. Ei muuta kun kaivamaan tarvittavat tavarat esille ja loppu sujuikin helposti. Kukat sain myöskin Oliverialta. Paperit on muistaakseni Tiimarista ja nauha Taidekehystämä Hyväriseltä. Kuvan väritin akvarellikynillä ja vesiväreillä. Samalla kortilla osallistun myös DutchDare haasteeseen #18 "Joulukortti"



At fisrt I thought that this weeks sketch is very difficult, and I allmost did'nt even begin, but then I started to colourthis wonderfull Hänglar picture which I got from Oliveria and all the sudden it was all clear. So off I go and start collecting the things I needed. I goot he flowers also from Oliveria. I got the flowers also from Oliveria. Papers are from Tiimari ja the ribbon is from Taidekehystämö Hyvärinen. I coloures the pisture with alvarell pencills and watercolours. With this card I'll also take part on DutchDare Challenge #18 "Christmascard"
